Field Trip to Portland Symphony Orchestra. As part of their general music curriculum, students in Grades K through 4 study the instruments of the orchestra.  Students in Grade 4 take a field trip to attend a concert of the Portland Symphony Orchestra at Merrill Auditorium. This trip is always one of the highlights of their 4th Grade year and is an integral part to students love and enthusiasm for music.
