Raymond Schools PTO Volunteer Opportunities

The Scholastic book fair is an opportunity for our non-profit to share in the promotion of literacy in the community with this exciting event hosted by the local Bibliophile Bookstore & Coffee house in the fall and spring each year. This event is a fundraiser for our organization while simultaneously providing Scholastic Dollars to the local school librarians.

We are looking for a co-chair for this committee to plan the fair administratively, coordinate local details with collaborative partners, promote the book fair using various available media tools & coordinate setup & removal of the fair. 

​

Committee members would work to setup, take down, run the cash register at appropriate times during the fair & assist with promotion of the event.

This community event in collaboration with Raymond Parks & Recreation is an exciting opportunity for families to attend a free event around the exiting time of Halloween. Started in 2021, this fun movie event/fundraiser at Tassel Top Park promises loads of fun for families with a movie, bounce house & snack shack supper treats.

We are looking for a Chair for this event who would plan the event using the outline from the previous committee team, coordinate local details with Raymond Parks & Recreation, assign committee members to different aspects of the event including potluck food, bake sale, volunteers, source donations / purchase items for a raffle & setup and pack up after this event.

Committee members would take an active role in planning and each take on one aspect of the event listed above such as food, donations, setup etc. 

This community event in collaboration with Raymond Parks & Recreation is an exciting opportunity for families to attend a free event over the winter season. Started in 2021, this fun winter event/fundraiser at Tassel Top Park promises loads of fun for families with ice skating, snowshoeing, sledding, corn hole, fire pits, food for purchase, bake sale & raffle.

Every May, the Raymond PTO honors our hard working, dedicated teachers and the outstanding support staff during teacher appreciation week.

Did you know there are over 100 staff members supporting the learning & education of our students within the Raymond Schools?!

We are looking for a Chair of this committee who will start late fall working with the board to review sponsorship opportunities and then with the support of the committee members team to plan this show of appreciation for May. Traditionally, this has been a big breakfast put on at each of the schools through donations & potluck / grants. The Chair will plan the type of event & work with the committee members to source the items required from outside donations and funds from the PTO to put on the event the first week of May.

Committee members on this team will work starting early in the new year to meet and plan their unique event. 

​

Community Dance events are loved by all and our team is looking forward to planning this missed activity. Not only do we believe that music, connection and dancing are good for our students, we appreciate the fundraising opportunity this brings our organization. It's a WIN-WIN!

We are looking for a Chair of this committee who will work with the board and the local schools to plan dates and themes that work collectively. The Chair will work with a committee team to coordinate a theme, advertise through media channels, decorate, sell tickets and all aspects of the event. 

​

The committee members will meet and work together to execute the event!

These fun fundraisers in collaboration with local organizations are a wonderful way for the community to support the PTO with the purchase of delicious pies at Thanksgiving and Flowers for "Mother's Day". We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with our sponsors.

The Chair (or a team of 2 people) for these fundraisers would be responsible for reviewing fundraising forms, contacting collaborative partners in order to verify details, working with the schools to confirm timelines & delivery space as well as collecting & collating order forms and managing logistics. 

This is an easy way for someone with little time to contribute to the PTO in a meaningful way!  

Calling all basketball enthusiasts! This is a fun community event where students from 5-adult will participate in a tournament for 3on3 basketball at JSMS.

The Chair for this event will work with Raymond Parks & Recreation and collaborate with the physical education team & sport coach enthusiasts locally to coordinate a fun tournament for students and their families. 

​

Registration & administration support through Raymond Parks & Recreation will make this a fun and easy committee to serve on this year. Members of this committee will assist with drink & food, check-in teams, promote the event & support administrative tasks. 

This committee is an important part of our organizations' success year to year. Each spring our team gathers a team to reflect on our events, fundraisers, budgetary concerns & how we overall met our mission statement.
